fixed-gear sprocket:
A fixed-gear drivetrain has the drive sprocket connected directly to the hub of the back wheel, so that the pedals are directly coupled to the wheel. This means that you are not able to stop pedaling while your bike is moving. The direct connection allows you to apply a braking force with the legs and bodyweight, by resisting the rotation of the cranks. It also makes it possible to cycle backwards.

Freewheel Sprockets are single-speed sprockets that continue to rotate freely once you stop pedaling, allowing you to coast.
